1. Introduction：
Mobile communications is based on radio waves as the transmission medium, the openness of airborne interface decides that the people who have mobile communications technologies can access to the system by means of airborne interface. In the security mechanism, GSM and CDMA networks are not perfect. Since the exporting of our encryption algorithms are restricted by Europe, and also the inherent vulnerability of GSM security mechanism - unidirectional authentication, which makes the domestic GSM network can only identify mobile phone but the mobile phone trusts absolutely the network.
As a result, the fact of using the system security vulnerability of domestic GSM network to achieve the attack does exist; wiretapping can be completely unrecognized by both side user of network. There is even a danger of remote controlling mobile phones if the back doors are embedded.
Therefore the Grus GSM mobile communication terminal security solution has been invented by VUTC to slove the security problems.
Grus is bases on GSM-CSD channel, introduce VUTC’s self-invented voice communication intermittent rolling encryption technology, this achieves voice and SMS encryption of mobile communication security terminals.
2. Main functions
Ⅰ. Voice encryption
- Use peer-to-peer calling GSM-CSD channel.
- Use high-efficiency and fidelity narrowband speech codec technology
- Conduct voice transmission by use the encryption channel generated by high-strength asymmetric key algorithm and a variety of symmetric key algorithms
- Use intermittent voice frame slot to switch randomly between varieties of encryption algorithms and replace the communication keys to achieve dynamic rolling encryption.
- Use high-strength random number generation algorithm to generate communication key
Ⅱ.SMS encryption
- Carry out high-intensity asymmetric key encryption and encoding for SMS sent, and decrypt and decode the information after arriving at the opposite end.
